    In October 2014 the SWAY team presented at NSW Branch of Speech Pathology Australia’s International Communication Project 2014 (ICP 2014), Nation for Communication Celebration. A fantastic evening of learning and inspiration.

    While providing quality stimulus the child is encouraged to use language when expressing  their thoughts and ideas. The child is also encouraged to use critical thinking and problem solving when engaging in the SWAY learning experiences.

    In Eileen’s class the children have been exploring the concept of belonging and their sense of identity within the family. They have been using craypas and water colour wash to represent their thoughts and ideas.

    After exploring the local area of Manly, the children have been able to recreate what they have seen.  Using natural materials, wooden blocks and their own drawings a launch pad has been established for children to use their expressive language in a creative way.
